Connecting your Found Account to ChatGPT
Found provides a secure, read-only connector built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that lets ChatGPT access your Found account data. Once connected, you can ask questions like “What’s my balance?” or “How much did I spend on supplies last month?” and ChatGPT will securely pull in live data straight from Found to answer your question.
The connector is strictly limited to data retrieval — ChatGPT cannot initiate transfers, move money between pockets, modify account settings, or execute payments. Authentication uses the OAuth standard: you will never be asked to share your Found password with ChatGPT; instead, you authorize access through Found’s secure login portal.
Connecting Found to ChatGPT
Found is available as an official app in the ChatGPT app directory, so there’s no MCP server URL to enter by hand.
- Open the Found app — Go to the Found listing in the ChatGPT app directory. You can also find it from within ChatGPT under Settings → Apps & Connectors.
- Connect the app — Select Connect to add Found to ChatGPT.
- Log in to Found — ChatGPT will prompt you to sign in via OAuth. Enter your Found credentials and approve the requested permissions. Connecting the app does not expose your data until you complete this login.
Once connected, bring Found into a conversation from the + (apps) menu in the message composer. Try a prompt like “What’s my Found balance?” to confirm the connection is working.
What you can ask
- Check balances — “Show me all my account balances.” or “How much is in my Taxes pocket right now?”
- Review transactions — “Show me my transactions from the last 30 days.” or “Did I receive a wire to my Found account this month?”
- Ask the Found Assistant — “Ask the Found Assistant for my current tax estimate.”
AI-generated responses can contain errors — verify balances and tax figures in the Found app before acting on them. For the full list of available tools, sample prompts, and security details, see Connecting your Found Account to AI tools via MCP.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
The login window doesn’t appear / I can’t authenticate. Make sure pop-ups are allowed for ChatGPT. If the OAuth window is blocked or closed too early, disconnect the Found app and connect it again.
ChatGPT isn’t using Found in my conversation. Bring Found into the conversation from the + (apps) menu in the message composer, then ask your question again.
How do I disconnect or revoke access? In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors and disconnect the Found app. You can revoke access at any time.
Can ChatGPT move money or send payments through the connector? No. The connector is read-only. To move money, transfer between pockets, or pay someone, do it directly in the Found app.
Who do I contact for help? If you run into issues, reach out through the Found app.
This connection is read-only. ChatGPT can see information from your Found account, but it cannot move money, send payments, or change any of your settings. Your data is shared with ChatGPT and governed by OpenAI’s privacy policy.
