We're excited to introduce a series of new features designed to speed up your invoicing process and make it easier to keep your records up-to-date once you’re paid.
If you find yourself creating similar invoices, or if you bill the same clients repeatedly, starting from scratch every time can be a drag.
Our new invoice templates let you save common items, notes, and attachments into customizable templates for similar types of work. For instance, you can create “Equipment maintenance” or “Website redesign” templates, which will include your pre-set pricing and common supporting documents for those project types.
If you choose to auto-fill when creating a new invoice, Found will automatically fill in the details from your last invoice to that contact. This is a handy way to save time if you’re sending the same invoice to a repeat client, but don’t necessarily want to set up a recurring invoice series.
With both templates and auto-fill, you can always review and adjust the details before sending in case you’d like to tweak anything for that specific project.
Found now allows you to add fees or service charges as discrete line items, either as a flat dollar amount or a percentage of the total invoice.
This enables you to clearly add charges for things such as:
Fees for late payments
Sales tax
Other service charges
These fees are applied to the amount of the invoice and allow your client to more easily understand the breakdown of their total amount owed.
Keeping your books up-to-date can be a pain as different invoices are paid at different times, especially when several invoices are included in the same payout from a payment processor like Stripe.
Good news: if you’ve set up automatic payouts from Stripe into Found, the payments you receive will now be automatically matched and linked to the relevant invoices in your Found activity feed—even if multiple invoices are included in one payout from Stripe.

For instance, imagine that you send three different invoices for $50 each, which your clients pay by credit card. When these are paid out into your Found account as a single $150 deposit from Stripe, we can automatically link that deposit to those invoices and mark each of them as paid.
This will ensure your business income is accurately tracked and will save you from needing to manually confirm and mark each invoice as paid.
