Whether you’re operating multiple registered businesses yourself, you’ve formed a multi-owner business with some partners, or you’ve added a sole prop side hustle on-top of your current business, you can use Found to manage all of your businesses from a single login.
Here’s how:
In your Found account, go to the Business tab, select your business name, and choose Add a new business.
Choose your business structure. You can choose from sole proprietorship, LLC, corporation, or partnership.
Complete the set-up process by adding a name, entering your tax information, and ordering your Found debit card.
Depending on your business, you may also need to provide business documentation like a business license, EIN letter, or letters of incorporation.
Once you’ve added your business, you can quickly toggle between your businesses from the Settings menu and whenever you log into your Found account.
Yes! When you add a new business in Found, your business will receive its own account number and all of your tax information, reports, and activity will be totally separate from your other businesses.
All of your businesses are accessible from your single Found login, giving you quick access to all of your businesses’ finances.
Yes! Just like when you send payments to other Found users, transfers between your businesses are free, instant, and unlimited. Here’s how to move funds from one business to another:
In your Found account, select the business that you want to move funds from.
Select the Move money button and choose Pay a person or business.
Select the business you want to send funds to.
Choose Found and select Next.
Optionally, you can change the schedule and add notes. When done, select Next to send the payment.
Your money will then instantly move from one business to the other.
Multiple business accounts are intended to be used for businesses with distinct ownership entities (e.g. two different LLCs, a sole prop and an LLC, an LLC and an S-Corp). For that reason, you cannot manage multiple sole proprietorships across multiple business accounts.
If you operate multiple sole proprietorships—for example, if you’re a freelance photographer and also drive for a rideshare service on the side—we recommend leveraging revenue streams to manage these different sources of income.
Revenue streams help you manage your funds based on the income that you’ve received and the expenses that are directly attributable to that stream. Once you set up revenue streams for different parts of your business, you’ll get dedicated Pockets, business reporting, and invoice customization for each stream.
Here’s how to create a revenue stream:
In your Found account, navigate to Business and choose Bookkeeping from the menu.
Select Revenue streams from the list.
Select Add a revenue stream. You can manage up to three revenue streams in each business.
Give your revenue stream a name, and customize its logo and accent color. You can also add a website, if you wish.
Select Save to add your revenue stream. Your new revenue stream will automatically create a pocket linked to that stream.
