How does Found verify my business?
Found verifies LLCs, Corporations, and Partnerships through a process known as KYB, which stands for “Know Your Business.”
This is a standard process that financial institutions use to confirm a business is legitimate before opening a bank account.
What does Found verify as part of KYB?
Found verifies four key pieces of information about your business during KYB:
1) Business name - Your legal business name
2) Business address - Your business’s physical location
3) State registration - Your official registration with state authorities (e.g. Secretary of State filing)
4) EIN (Employer Identification Number) - Your business’s tax ID number
- This EIN must be associated with your legal business name.
Note: If you are a sole proprietorship, your business does not need to be verified via KYB. You will apply with your legal name, U.S. residential address, date of birth, and Social Security Number for verification purposes.
How does verification work?
The majority of businesses complete verification automatically. Found checks your information against official records, and you’re approved within minutes.
If we need additional documentation from you, we’ll reach out over email with specific instructions on what to provide.
