Found verifies LLCs and Corporations through a process known as KYB, which stands for "Know Your Business.”
This is a standard process that financial institutions use to confirm a business is legitimate before opening a bank account.
Found verifies four key pieces of information about your business during KYB:
1) Business name - Your legal business name
Tip: The business name you sign up with must match what is on your official documents (e.g. state registration records, signed operating agreements).
2) Business address - Your business's physical location
Tip: We cannot accept registered agent's, virtual, or mailing-only addresses, like P.O Boxes, PMBs (Private Mailboxes), and APO/FPO military addresses.
3) State registration - Your official registration with state authorities (e.g. Secretary of State filing)
Tip: Your business must be registered in the same state as its business address. If your business was formed in one state but currently operates in a different state, your business needs to be registered in the state in which it operates as a foreign entity (also known as foreign qualification). Your business registration must also be active and in good standing.
4) EIN (Employer Identification Number) - Your business's tax ID number
This EIN must be associated with your legal business name.

Note: If you are sole proprietorship, your business does not need to be verified via KYB. You will apply with your Legal name, Your US residential address, Date of birth, and Social Security Number for verification purposes.
If your business is a legal Partnership (e.g. general partnership, LP, LLP, LLLP), we unfortunately cannot support your business.
We do support multi-member LLCs, which may be informally called a partnership, but is a different legal business structure than formal Partnerships.
The majority of businesses complete verification automatically. Found checks your information against official records, and you're approved within minutes.
If we need additional documentation from you, we'll reach out over email with specific instructions on what to provide.
