How do I connect Found to another app?

With the introduction of Unique Account Numbers for every pocket, connecting your Found account to external banking services and financial apps is now easier and more precise than ever.

Here is what you can expect when linking your Found pockets to third-party institutions that use services like Plaid:

Visibility of all pockets

When you connect your Found account to an external institution (such as a payment processor or budgeting app), you will now see all your available pocket account numbers populate as options for linking. This includes the Primary pocket, Taxes pocket, and any custom pockets you have created.

Easy identification for linking

To help you accurately identify the correct pocket and business during the linking process, the account numbers will display in specific, clear formats:

Your Found Account Setup

How the Pocket Account Number Will Display

Example

Single Business

Pocket Name • Last 4 digits of Account Number

Marketing Savings • 1234

Multiple Businesses

Business Name • Pocket Name • Last 4 digits of Account Number

Brad’s Bikes • Payroll • 5678

This detailed format ensures you can easily distinguish between pockets across different businesses, even if you have several Found accounts linked.

Why this matters

This enhancement empowers you to segment your finances better than ever. By linking specific pockets to specific external services, you move beyond just internal tags and categories to achieve direct fund routing and clearer financial organization.

What if I want to keep this as simple as possible for transfers?

When in doubt, link to your Primary pocket for directing funds into Found. You can always organize within your Found account directly through your existing Found features (allocations, pocket transfers, rules, tags etc).
