Yes! Every existing and newly created pocket has a unique account number, including the Taxes pocket. You are able to receive funds directly into your custom pockets, as well as directly debit those pockets if needed, improving how you segment and reconcile your business income.
Having a unique account number per pocket gives you the option to direct funds to a specific pocket under your main Found bank account. Here are the basic details:
These unique account numbers function just like traditional account numbers, allowing you to link external accounts to specific pockets of your business.
You can think of these unique account numbers like different email aliases of your main email address. They enable you to track cash flow by specific client, revenue stream, or purpose (e.g., separating operating expenses from payroll) without needing to open entirely separate bank accounts.
Your existing, initial account number will remain associated with your Primary pocket. All other pockets now have a unique account number.
Keep in mind that your routing number is the same across all pockets.
This change supports the most common and important use cases customers have requested:
Direct Deposits: You can now provide a pocket's unique account number to external payers to receive funds directly into that custom pocket.
Simplified Reconciliation: Since funds are routed directly, tracking income by source (like a specific client or revenue stream) becomes much simpler.
We have also updated all money movement flows within the Found app to include pocket selection where applicable.
When connecting your Found account to external institutions that use services like Plaid, you will now see all your available pocket account numbers.
To help you easily identify the correct pocket when linking an account, the numbers will display in the following format:
Single Business User: Pocket Name • Last 4 digits of Account Number
Multiple Business User: Business Name • Pocket Name • Last 4 digits of Account Number
