How can I spend from or deposit money into a pocket?

Pockets help you keep your funds organized, but what if you want to spend money you’ve set aside in pockets you’ve created or deposit money directly into them?

Deposit via account numbers: You can receive deposits directly into a Pocket by using its dedicated account number. Click into a Pocket to view and copy its unique account number, and then share this with a client or enter into any app where you receive payments to deposit those funds directly.

There are two main ways to spend from your Pockets:

Spend via debit card: You can assign any of your physical or virtual cards to pull funds directly from one of your Pockets.

Here’s how:

You can also attach a card to a pocket from the card details.

Now, whenever you use this card for a purchase, it will exclusively draw from the Pocket it’s attached to. Additionally, if you initiate a transfer to this virtual card from a processor like Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App to this card, the deposit will automatically be sent to your pocket rather than your Primary pocket.

Spend via bank transfer: You can also make a transfer directly from each Pocket using its dedicated account number.

Here’s how:

  1. In Found, select the Pocket that you want to send money from.

  2. Select Move Money

  3. Select External transfer and either choose or link an external account.

  4. Enter the amount of payment and select next to initiate a transfer.

Alternatively, you can enter a Pocket’s unique account number into any platform that can debit funds from your account.

One thing to keep in mind is that flexible spending only applies to your Primary pocket. Make sure that you have sufficient balance in the Pocket that you want to make a transaction from or your purchase will be declined.

Additionally, you cannot spend more than your account’s total balance. This means that if your Primary pocket is negative, transactions attempted from a card linked to another pocket may be declined.
