When you provide contractor services to a new client, you will need to provide them with a W-9 form for their tax records. As a Found user, you can securely share your W-9 with your client directly from your Found account. Here’s how:
On Mobile
Tap on the Business icon, located on the bottom-right corner.
Select Manage W-9 from the menu.
Tap the Share W-9 button to share your W-9 with your client. You can share your W-9 via email or SMS.
On Desktop
Click your avatar in the top right corner and choose Manage W-9 from the menu.
Click Share to share your W-9 with your client. You can share your W-9 via email or SMS.
Shared W-9s will automatically expire two weeks after the 1099 filing deadline. You can revoke access to your W-9 at any time from your Found app by navigating to the Manage W-9 page and clicking Manage who can view.
For more on the W-9 form, visit our resource center.
To edit an existing W-9 form on mobile, tap the Business icon (in the bottom-right corner). Next, tap Manage W-9. Then, tap on the pencil icon in the top right corner. Here, you will be able to edit the information provided in the form. To edit your W-9 on desktop, find Manage W-9 in the settings menu.
