Maintaining the security of your Found account is essential to protecting your funds, preventing unauthorized access, and safeguarding your business operations. A compromised account could lead to fraudulent transactions, financial losses, or disruptions that impact your ability to manage your business effectively.
Found offers several built-in security features designed to help keep your account safe:
If your device supports biometric authentication (e.g. Face ID on iPhone), you can use that to unlock your Found app. When you switch apps, Found will automatically lock itself after 15 minutes. Just use your biometric information when you switch back to keep working.
You can enable or disable this feature by navigating to Settings then tapping the gear icon. Scroll to Login and security and select the slider next to Auto-lock app.
Prevent unexpected and unauthorized attempts to debit your Found account using its account and routing numbers using Bank transfer approvals. You have three options for handling attempts to debit your account via bank transfer:
Don’t require approval. The default option automatically approves withdrawals via bank transfer.
Require approval on unapproved vendors only. When a vendor attempts to withdraw money from your Found account, we’ll ask you if you recognize the merchant. Once you approve a withdrawal, future withdrawals from that vendor will be automatically approved.
Always require approval. We’ll always ask you for approval before allowing any vendor to withdraw money from your account via bank transfer.
You can change this at any time to increase or decrease the security level on your account.
Whenever you initiate a sensitive action—such as sending money, linking a debit card, or adding your Found card to a digital wallet—Found will send a one-time password (OTP) to verify that you authorized the request. This extra layer of security helps prevent unauthorized access and fraudulent transactions.
Found employees will never ask for your one-time password. If anyone claiming to be a Found representative requests your verification code, do not share it. End the conversation immediately and contact our support team through the Found app to report the incident.
