Estimates are an easy way to share cost and pricing information with a client before sending a formal invoice. With an estimate, you can get alignment with your client and quickly convert that proposal into an actual invoice. Here’s how:
In the Invoices tab, select New invoice and choose Create an estimate.
Select an existing contact or add your client by selecting Create new contact.
Add items to your estimate and, optionally, a discount.
Optionally, add a note or an attachment. This is a great way to share further proposal documentation with your client.
Choose to send the estimate now or in the future.
Select Send to send the estimate.
Once your client receives the estimate, they can approve it by tapping the Accept button. You’ll be notified by Found when they accept your proposal and you can then convert that estimate into an invoice by opening the estimate in Found and selecting Convert to invoice.
When converting an estimate into an invoice, Found will bring over all of your estimate’s information. All you need to do is adjust the payment methods, due date, and reminders as needed. For more information about invoices, see our guide.
